About Richard Weathington Richard Weathington started in the Loan business in 1987 in Sacramento California as an office assistant -- primarily running errands. After advancing in the ranks at various Banks and Mortgage Companies, Richard went on to open his own Mortgage Brokerage.At the time, business was good and Richard was very busy. He was soon approached by several colleagues who wanted to follow Richard's footsteps and venture out on their own to obtain Broker's Licenses. Prompted by his success in helping other people become brokers, Richard then began to attend classes in order to become a Credentialed Instructor. Since 1995 Richard has worked as an Executive for some of the most prestigious banks in the world, including US Bank, Saxon Mortgage, and Profound Mortgage where he secured multi-million dollar deals for several Silicon Valley high-tech companies -- all while developing his teaching and mentoring skills. In the year 2000 Richard decided to follow his heart and pursue his passion for teaching by instructing full-time at multiple Bay Area Lenders as well as for the American School of Mortgage Banking. For the last 5 years Richard has taught courses including: Loan Processing, Loan Officer Training, Mortgage Loan Underwriting, and Loan Originator Sales and Marketing. Today Richard serves as the Chairman of The Loan Broker Academy -- a breakthrough program that teaches "everyday people" how to succeed in the Mortgage Industry and guarantees its students Certification by the State of California in just two intensive days.
